International Transfer Round-Up

In today’s edition of the latest transfer rumour round-up, we look at Mats Hummels, Douglas Costa, Angel Di Maria, Paul Pogba and Alexandre Lacazette.

Mats Hummels rubbishes talks of Man Utd move
Manchester United defensive target, Mats Hummels has rubbished claims that he will move to England this summer, telling his Twitter followersthat the rumours about him making a verbal agreement with the Red Devils were invented. “Just to be clear. This alleged "promise" is simply an invention... and that is saying it nicely," he said on his official Twitter account on Wednesday.

Chelsea monitoring Douglas Costa
The Mail claims that Jose Mourinho, reportedly a long-term admirer of Shakhtar attacking midfielder Douglas Costa, has requested that scouts send him regular updates on the Brazilian’s fitness, fuelling speculation that he may complete a move to Chelsea in the summer, if he’s fit enough.

PSG targeting Angel Di Maria
Reports from French publication L’equipe claim that Paris Saint-Germain are set to offer Angel Di Maria a way out of his tumultuous expedition to Manchester United, where he has had a difficult season, and  it is reported that he is keen to leave the club.

Pogba heading to PSG?
As one of the most coveted players in Europe, Paul Pogba appears to be heading for Real Madrid, but The Daily Mail claims that PSG are now offering him a place in their squad, should he prefer a move to his home country of France.

PSG also after prolific Lyon striker
The Parisian club have featured heavily in the news and their negotiators appear to be in for a busy summer as they have been attributed interest in Lyon’s goal scoring machine, Alexandre Lacazette. Lacazette has scored 23 goals in 26 Ligue 1 games this season.

In other news:
Chelsea are reportedly willing to sell Oscar and Ramires in order to fund a move for Paul Pogba, which will likely be the biggest transfer story of the summer, while Real Madrid have David De Gea at the top of their goalkeeping shortlist and Chelsea’s Petr Cech is second on the list. Also, Liverpool have reportedly set a €68 million price tag on their star winger, Raheem Sterling.
