Esperance have reached an agreement with Shuttle Sports Academy, Lagos
for Nigeria Under 20 international Bernard Bulbwa to join the club on a
five-year deal in the summer.
And this has ended speculation over the future of the Flying Eagles
midfielder, with reports in the British media suggesting that Stoke City
had attempted to hijack the deal from The Blood and Gold.
In spite of the fact that negotiations have been concluded in theory,
Esperance can't officially announce the signing of the 18-year-old
because the transfer window is closed for business until the first week
of July.
SL10.ng can exclusively report that Bernard Bulbwa is guaranteed
$920,000(equivalent of =N=184 million) excluding performance related
add-ons if he remains at The Stade El Menzah, Tunis until June 30, 2020.
In his first two years at Esperance, the 18-year-old will earn $150,000
per season while he'll receive $170,000 and $200,000 in the third and
fourth year respectively.
In the last year of his contract, Bernard Bulbwa's salary has been set at a quarter of a million dollars.
Based on his itinerary, he was supposed to return to Nigeria on Monday,
but that date is not cast in stone because of his invitation to the
Nigeria Under 23s.
