Nottingham Forest boss Dougie Freedman, has admitted he is in talks
with Arsenal over a loan move for Anglo Nigerian forward Chuba Akpom.
Freedman claims Championship rivals Norwich City held talks with the 19-year-old on Saturday and admits he wants him too.
He said: “The particular player we are interested in was here at Norwich in the morning talking to them. That is fine.
"I know there are four teams who are in for him and he will probably choose Monday or Tuesday"
“That is the competition we are up against."
Akpom viewed by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger as one of the brightest talent in the Arsenal youth set up, ready to step up to the first team next season have had loan spells at Coventry City and Brentford, making 10 appearances combined with no goal scored.
This season he has made four appearances for Arsenal in all competition and was recently tied down to a new five year deal by the Gunners, a testament to their faith in his abilities.
