Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo could end his poor run of
 form by becoming the all-time record-scorer in European competitions 
tonight.
 The Portuguese recently levelled Lionel Messi and Raul’s all-time record of 76 goals in various European competitions.
 Ronaldo has scored 73 goals in the Champions League so far, while also 
scoring one in Champions League qualification and two in the 2014 
European Super Cup final.
 Messi, meanwhile, has scored 75 of his goals for Barcelona in the 
Champions League, while adding another in the 2011 European Super Cup 
final.
 Ronaldo has scored 58 goals in 58 Champions League games for Los 
Blancos and is also the competitions record-scorer in the knockout 
stages, with 35 strikes.
 Ronaldo is the first player to win 28 matches in the knock-stages and 
is currently on a run of 14 consecutive wins in the competition – the 
longest winning streak of any player in the history of the competition.
 However, he has only scored seven goals in 12 games in 2015, but will 
surely be keen to add another against Schalke in the last-16 return leg.
 In addition, Real Madrid have won their last 10 consecutive Champions 
League games – including all seven in the current campaign – and could 
break Bayern Munich’s competition record with another win against 
Schalke on Tuesday.
